🚧 Construction Commences on Phase 2 at Waterloo Park, Waterlooville 🚧

We’re delighted to announce that construction on Phase 2 of our Waterloo Park development is officially underway this January 2026!

This next phase will be anchored by an Aldi UK food store, alongside Costa Coffee and KFC drive-through. Works are scheduled to complete by end of summer 2026, with new stores opening for business by Winter 2026.

Tim Wilmer Investment Director at Hargreaves, explains: β€œThe second Phase at Waterloo Park enables us to deliver a further retail development, converting vacant brownfield land into a new retail park, expanding our existing ownership. It’s good to be working with Aldi again, after the success of delivering their new store in Hove, and to build relationships with Costa and KFC.

A huge thank you to the team involved for making this possible:

HNW – Architects
BP Civils – Civil Engineer
Watermans – Structural Engineer
Harris Lamb – Planning Consultant
DTA – Transport Consultant
Mildren – Contractor
Savills – Building & Project Consultancy
HLRE – Retail Agency

With Phase 2 moving onto site, our focus is turning to the delivery of the remainder of this important regeneration site, to secure further jobs and facilities for Waterlooville residents. As a first step, we are investigating occupier demand for a range of employment, leisure and retail uses”.

Matthias Daly, Real Estate Director at Aldi UK, adds: β€œWe’re committed to bringing a new Aldi to Waterlooville and are looking forward to beginning preliminary site preparations in the coming months. Once open, the store will create up to 40 jobs and help local people shop and save closer to home.”
