Types of personal data we collect

  • Contact details, for example, name, address, telephone number and email addresses for employees, business customers and suppliers.
  • Copies of documents you provide to prove your identity when the law requires this. This could be either a passport or a driving licence which will include your full name, address, date of birth, facial image, place of birth, gender and nationality.
  • Your image and your car number plate may be recorded on CCTV when you visit any of the sites or car parks that we own.
  • Technical information about your internet connection, browser, ip address where your computer is located, the web pages viewed and any search terms you entered.

How we use personal data

  • We will only use the information you provide for the purpose indicated.
  • We may also use this information to contact you about developments or other services which we think might be of interest to you. Information may also be shared with selected businesses to enable Hargreaves to effectively respond to enquiries and requests.
  • We will not, under any circumstances, sell your information.
  • We may use names and job titles on our website.
  • To protect our premises and visitors, we operate CCTV systems on our development sites and car parks. These record images for security based on our legitimate business interests. We manage our car parks in conjunction with Euro Car Parks
  • With your consent, we will use your personal data to keep you informed by email about news, products and services.
  • To send you communications required by law or which are necessary to inform you about changes to the services we provide you. For example, updates to this Privacy Notice.
  • To comply with our contractual or legal obligations to share information with law enforcement.
  • To send you survey and feedback requests to help improve our services.
  • Sometimes, we will need to share your details with a third party to deliver our services.

Safeguarding personal data

Hargreaves recognises its responsibility for the protection and privacy of your personal information. We will treat your data with care and take all appropriate steps to keep it secure.

We regularly monitor our systems for possible weaknesses and attacks and we carry out tests to identify ways to further strengthen security.

We have technological and operational security policies and procedures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorized access; wherever possible we will use encryption.

How long we retain your personal data

Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we will only keep it for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. In certain cases, it may be necessary to retain information for several years after our business relationship with you has ended, however, this will be continually reviewed and we will take account of best practice.
